Are you in the eSIM service area?<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that your eSIM will work only in the purchased destination. For example, a USA eSIM will connect only in the USA. You can install the eSIM on your device any time, but it will not connect to a network until you arrive in your destination.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_01HRQNTG3C73YXV3QXHACTXF49\"><br>2. The eSIM plan may be called &#8220;Secondary&#8221; or &#8220;Personal.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure&nbsp;<strong>Turn On This Line<\/strong>&nbsp;is set to&nbsp;<strong>ON<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure&nbsp;<strong>Roaming Data<\/strong>&nbsp;is set to&nbsp;<strong>ON<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"01HVW5VD2Y04GFC9FWP5NQNHAQ\"><br>Samsung Galaxy (Android)<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open&nbsp;<strong>Settings&nbsp;<\/strong>and go to&nbsp;<strong>Connections<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap on&nbsp;<strong>Mobile Networks<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm&nbsp;<strong>Data Roaming<\/strong>&nbsp;is&nbsp;<strong>ON<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"01HVW5Y07JA8EC81ZAG40EJ5BG\"><br>Google Pixel (Android)<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap&nbsp;<strong>Network and Internet<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap on&nbsp;<strong>SIMs<\/strong>, and on the following page, select the eSIM plan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enable&nbsp;<strong>Data Roaming<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Mobile Data<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_01HRQNTG3C050PM0H3MRMY96EY\"><br>3. It may be called &#8220;Secondary&#8221; or &#8220;Personal.&#8221; In our example, it&#8217;s called &#8220;Maya eSIM&#8221;, but it will have the same name as the plan on the previous screen (Travel).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"01HVW5ZZCREDN128QC9Z0P3YM9\"><br>Samsung Galaxy (Android)<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open&nbsp;<strong>Settings&nbsp;<\/strong>and go to&nbsp;<strong>Connections&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap&nbsp;<strong>SIM Card Manager<\/strong>&nbsp;at the top, and on the following page select the eSIM plan for&nbsp;<strong>Mobile Data<\/strong>. This will tell the phone to use the eSIM plan for data connections.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"01HVW5ZZCR59WKB14YCS2Z2DQ5\"><br>Google Pixel (Android)<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap&nbsp;<strong>Network and Internet<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap on&nbsp;<strong>SIMs<\/strong>, and on the following page, select the eSIM plan.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_01HRQNTG3C3Y7RF39MNYE8FJJN\"><br>4. Android Only &#8211; Configure APN<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are using an eSIM on an&nbsp;<strong>Android device<\/strong>&nbsp;and there is no data connection, please check the APN settings by following the steps below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In your phone&#8217;s&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong>, go to&nbsp;<strong>Mobile &amp; Network&nbsp;<\/strong>(On Samsung, go to Settings &gt; Connections &gt; Mobile Networks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap the eSIM plan, then go to&nbsp;<strong>Access Point Names<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap Menu, then tap&nbsp;<strong>New APN<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the first field called&nbsp;<strong>APN<\/strong>, enter&nbsp;<strong>globaldata<\/strong>. If there is anything filled in username or password, delete it. Only the APN name is required.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Return to the previous screen and select the new APN.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_01HRQNTG3C42F51SPRZF6C20DV\"><br>5. Reset the data connection<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>On your device&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong>&nbsp;screen, enable&nbsp;<strong>Airplane Mode<\/strong>&nbsp;and wait 30 seconds, then switch off again. This will force the device to re-connect to the cellular network. Wait&nbsp;<strong>up to 15 minutes<\/strong>&nbsp;for the eSIM data plan to successfully authenticate and begin receiving 4G LTE or 5G data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_01HRQNTG3CJW44PG8AQ5GFP1D3\"><br>6. Manually select a network<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>If resetting the data connection does not work, you may need to select a network manually. Follow the steps below:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_01HRQNTG3CGX710YX37642Z8CZ\"><br>Apple iOS (iPhone)<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to&nbsp;<strong>Cellular<\/strong>&nbsp;and select the eSIM data plan under Cellular Plans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap&nbsp;<strong>Network Selection<\/strong>, and on the following screen, switch<strong>&nbsp;Automatic&nbsp;<\/strong>to&nbsp;<strong>Off<\/strong>. Wait for the list of available networks to appear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manually select an available network, and wait for the signal status to update. You should see the signal status in the top bar switch to &#8220;Searching&#8221; when you select a new network.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After finding a network that connects, toggle&nbsp;<strong>Automatic<\/strong>&nbsp;back to&nbsp;<strong>On<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Please feel free to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cloudtelecomsolutions.com\/index.php\/contact-us\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"43\">contact us<\/a>&nbsp;if you need to manually select a network, so we can tell you which networks are the best to connect to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_01HRQNTG3C5878F9QWB2SDBRSP\"><br>Still no data connection<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p><br>If you are sure that the above steps do not resolve the issue, it is possible you are in an area without service, or there is a network issue out of our control that is affecting service. The best thing to do is&nbsp;<strong>wait&nbsp;<\/strong>and check later.
